The Rainbow R6, an in-situ fiber optic concentration monitoring system, is a powerful analytical instrument that correctly and accurately measures dissolution in real time. It is utilized for dissolution testing, flux assays, solubility studies and other applications requiring high accuracy and repeatability in concentration measurement. The Rainbow R6 is the core of Pion’s integrated microDISS and miniDISS dissolution monitoring systems, used for early phase compound screening and studies with biorelevant volumes, and FLUX systems, which improve the assessment of absorption potential. This makes it an ideal partner in biorelevant dissolution investigations. The Rainbow R6 will produce consistent, replicable results, whatever the prandial media.
Rainbow R6 is equipped with up to 8 independent fiber optic channels with data acquisition of the UV Spectra (200-720 nm) to provide concentration measurements as fast as every 2 seconds. It also offers a lower consumables cost with lamp control that turns off the UV lamp after assay completion and optionally, in between datapoints if the sampling interval exceeds 1 hour. The small instrument footprint with external 24 VDC power supply offers easy placement on lab benches.
Additional new features, utilizing the latest AuPRO software version 7, include:
